However, you have to put it in context, watch it in the way it was intended to be watched. It is a stupid movie with stupid jokes and it wears this intention on its sleeve. It is a youth movie with a surreal twist. The style of jokes swing from movies like Road Trip to Monty Python and the Holy Grail and back again, with an obvious bit of Farrely Brothers gross out tastelessness (the school for blind children scene) for good measure. Of course, I could pick faults in the film all day but thats the way it was meant to be, surely. You don't sit down to write a film called Dude Where's My Car and expect to come up with a classic. But it is a very entertaining and occasionally hilarious movie which is well worth watching at least once but if possible a few times as it is the sort of film which reveals new funny jokes every time. It is very much a movie aimed at males as there are many jokes about well endowed women but I took my girlfriend to see it and she laughed as much as I did, as did the many other girls in the cinema. Some jokes fall flat, some scenes become tiresome but overall it is just a bit of a laugh and succeeds on its own level far more than, say, Road Trip did. So switch off your brain and give it a try. You might just enjoy it. | Languages: | English | Subtitles: | None | Length: | 83 | Video format: | DivX 3.11 Low Motion | Audio format: | MPEG Layer 3 (MP3) | Resolution: | 720x576 | Files sizes (Mb): | 647 |
